Scott Walchek
was a founding member of Macromedia, an innovator in interactive media for entertainment and education, and a pioneer in internet shopping technologies. His C2B Technologies was acquired by Inktomi, in turn acquired by Yahoo!. He was the lead investor and a director of Baidu, China’s leading search engine, which in 2005, completed the most successful IPO by a foreign company in NASDAQ history.
Scott has played a leading role in several diverse technology, energy, and philanthropic organizations and presently serves as a director of ArCal Exploration, WB Energy Investments, and Docstoc. In addition to his role as chairman of DebtMarket, Walchek currently serves as chairman of Chameleon Scientific, a Minnesota-based developer of nanotechnology for surface engineering of medical devices, and Loyalty Stream, a breakthrough program for consumers to support their favorite charities while they shop.
Scott is a founder and managing general partner of Integrity Partners, a boutique venture capital firm investing in early stage technology companies. He also is a venture partner with the Silicon Valley office of e-Planet Ventures, a top-tier international venture capital firm.
With his wife and children, Scott is also co-founder and president of W Charitable Foundation, assisting those in need worldwide, and founder of Ski for Good, which provides private ski instruction with proceeds donated to a client’s choice of charity. He attended the University of California, San Diego.

Mike Sheridan
Co-Founder & President
Mike Sheridan is a veteran entrepreneur and investment professional. Prior to taking on the role of president at DebtMarket, he served as a senior associate at Growth Management Partners and as a partner at Venature LLC, where he honed his operational skills and helped many start-ups and small businesses with strategy, internal operations, financing and overall business vision.
Michael has experience as a floor and desk trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Board of Options Exchange and the Pacific Coast Options Exchange, and with Stafford Trading, TD Waterhouse and Cutler Group.
He completed his undergraduate studies at DePauw University and earned an MBA degree from The Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
Stuart McFarland

Stuart McFarland has extensive experience in executive leadership, Board of Directors service, business development, corporate restructuring, finance, real estate, mortgage lending and securitization.
- Managing Partner, Federal City Capital Advisors, LLC. (“FCCA”). Stuart is a co-founder and a managing partner of FCCA.
- Chairman, Federal City Bancorp, Holding Company for American Partners Bank. (2004 – 2007)
- President and CEO of Pedestal Inc. Stuart was recruited by Battery Ventures to expand and develop the first Internet enabled mortgage securities, mortgage loan trading and auction business exchange. (1999 – 2003)
- Executive Vice President and General Manager of GE Capital Mortgage Services and President and CEO of GE Capital Asset Management Corporation. Stuart ran GE Capital’s mortgage and loan workout business. (1990 – 1996)
- President and CEO of Skyline Financial Services Corporation. At Skyline, Stuart developed and managed the first nationwide electronic asset management system to manage, control and dispose of thousands of real estate assets, securities and loans in 32 states. (1987 – 1990)
- President and CEO of National Permanent Federal Savings Bank in Washington, D.C. (1985 – 1987)
- Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae). (1980 – 1985)
- President and Director, Ticor Mortgage Insurance Company, Los Angeles, CA. When Stuart left, Ticor was the nation’s second largest provider of mortgage guaranty insurance. (1971 – 1980)
Stuart has testified before committees of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on mortgage and real estate finance and securitization as well as related financial issues. He has served on numerous public and private company boards of directors and currently serves on the Boards of Directors and Chairs the Audit Committees of New Castle Investment Corporation (NYSE: NCT) and the Brandywine Funds (BRWIX, BLUEX, BWAFX). He serves on the Boards of Directors of the Helios Funds (HSM, HTR, HAV, HIH, HMH, HSA formerly the Hyperion Brookfield and Regions Morgan Keegan Funds). He also serves as a Director and Member of the Executive Committee of the Center for Housing Policy, in Washington, DC and is a member of the Trustees Council of the National Building Museum and the Federal City Council. Stuart holds a B.A. in Government and Law from Lafayette College.
Carl Dellar, Ph.D.
CTO & VP of Engineering
Dr. Carl Dellar joined the DebtMarket development team in June 2009. Prior to that, Carl spent more than three years at Intel Corporation as research director for network and sensor network applications.
Previously, Carl was founder, president and VP of Engineering at EShinui, where he oversaw the definition and development of SaaS maintenance logistics products for the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Carl’s 30-plus years of experience span C2B Technologies, BroadVision, and Oracle to Acorn Computers in the U.K. He received his Ph.D.for work in distributed systems from the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, England.
Monica Maynerick
VP of Business Development
At DebtMarket, Monica Maynerick is responsible for all aspects of outreach and sales strategy including new business development, developing business partnerships and alliances, revenue, market share growth and customer service.
Monica comes to DebtMarket with over 15 years of experience in sales and operations management within the non-profit, finance, entertainment and retail sectors. Most recently, Monica was Lending Operations Manager and Underwriter at ACCION USA, a nonprofit micro finance organization that provides small business loans and related services to the under-banked.
Monica holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University and an undergraduate degree in International Affairs with an emphasis on Latin American Studies and Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She also earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UCLA.
Vanessa Towning
VP of Marketing & Corporate Development
Vanessa Towning joins DebtMarket with ten years of marketing and sales experience spanning the banking, automotive and entertainment industries. At DebtMarket, Vanessa is responsible for marketing strategy and execution as well as service partner prospecting and integration. Previously, Vanessa worked at FOX Television Stations where she developed and managed national media campaigns and corporate sponsorships for advertisers such as Honda, Toyota, Chase Bank and Sony. Vanessa’s experience also includes driving advertising campaigns and business development for a variety of companies at Publicis Groupe.
Vanessa holds her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Southern Methodist University and MBA from Pepperdine University.
